A continuation of my AU where Michael is adopted by the Evans’ instead of Max.
Based on RNM 2x13 & 3x01. CrashCon concludes with only one casualty. A few days later, Greg and Alex deal with the fallout and end up making a shocking discovery. Michael and his siblings uncover more information about the symbols and his pull toward the desert. Both Liz and Alex make decisions that affect their relationships.

Last chapter for this fic. Happy Roswell NM Finale! Alex is able to deal with the events at CrashCon with his boyfriend. No shed scene, but Alex borrows a line from it. Isobel also borrows a line from canon about Noah and when Michael shows her symbols, it’s at his Airstream. Michael’s antidote usage is finally addressed. Max is the cop Michael calls for undercover spying on Diego. Liz confronts him at the Airstream. In their argument, Michael says lines that canon Michael said when his relationship was ending. At this point, Liz has not said “I love you,” to Michael yet. It’s a week later when Greg’s renovating that they discover something beneath the shed and that leads them to the diary and the mystery in the desert. Max and Alex read it with Isobel in their house. The nice moment between Max and Michael includes their cowboy hats swapped. Alex talks about what he needs to do next with his boyfriend and privately shares his song. (I added a nod to Malex dialogue from both 3x10 4x02.)
